It's Here! The Last Mapou Creole Translation: Dènye Pye Mapou A

In partnership with the Discovering Global Citizenship initiative at Texas Christian University, we were able to produce a Kreyòl translation of Edwidge Danticat's The Last Mapou, which was published by One Moore Book in 2013. Dènye Pye Mapou A was edited by Michel DeGraff and Jacques Pierre, two extraordinary Haitian creolists, and will be distributed to 1,000 students in Haiti through TCU. We're inspired by the work of linguists like DeGraff and Pierre, and always honored to share the amazing work of Edwidge Danticat.

The Last Mapou, Danticat's second children's book, was a collaboration with renowned painter Edouard Duval-Carrié. To purchase this and other Haiti Series titles, visit our online store.
